LoveShackFancy x Malibu Turn The Surf Lodge Pink for a Dreamy Montauk Takeover

Montauk was decidedly prettier in pink this past weekend as LoveShackFancy and Malibu transformed The Surf Lodge into a whimsical waterfront escape, bringing together the carefree spirit of summer with LoveShackFancy’s unmistakably feminine world.

Set along the water at one of the East End’s most iconic summer destinations, the LoveShackFancy x Malibu Beach Club felt like stepping straight into a sun-soaked postcard. An abundant archway overflowing with blush, rose and pastel blooms welcomed guests into the takeover, where nearly every detail had been reimagined through a decidedly pink lens.

Along the sand, candy-colored surfboards bearing the Malibu x LoveShackFancy insignia stood against the waterfront, while pale pink lounge seating and striped, fringed umbrellas created an idyllic setting for an afternoon spent by the bay. The palette was pure summer fantasy: soft pink, crisp white, touches of florals and blue Montauk skies overhead.

And, naturally, the cocktails received an equally photogenic treatment.

Malibu Pink bottles took center stage throughout the beach club, accompanied by custom striped ice buckets and fresh coconuts stamped with the collaboration’s logo. Tiny pink cocktail umbrellas added an extra playful flourish — the sort of charming detail that made practically every corner worthy of a photograph.

LoveShackFancy brought its signature fashion sensibility to the waterfront as well. A beautifully styled boutique installation offered racks of the brand’s romantic summer pieces beneath striped parasols, alongside stacks of limited-edition pink floral merchandise and oversized canvas totes created for the collaboration.

The result married two distinct versions of summertime escapism: Malibu’s tropical, carefree energy and LoveShackFancy’s romantic, vintage-inspired femininity, all against the laid-back glamour of Montauk.

It was maximalist in the loveliest possible way — florals, fringe, stripes, surfboards, cocktails and seemingly endless shades of pink — yet perfectly at home at The Surf Lodge.

As August settles over the East End and the final weeks of the season begin their inevitable countdown, the takeover offered a reminder of what Hamptons summer does best: take something as simple as an afternoon by the water and turn it into a world of its own.

For one particularly pretty weekend in Montauk, that world just happened to be pink.
