On Sunday, August 10th, Montauk set the stage for an inspiring day of environmental action as Project Zero hosted its third annual Hamptons beach cleanup and fundraiser, in partnership with the iconic Surf Lodge. The event united volunteers, artists, and ocean advocates in support of protecting and restoring our oceans.
A Morning of Action
The day began with a beach cleanup in downtown Montauk, one of the area’s busiest stretches of sand. More than 30 volunteers collected four bags of debris in under an hour, supported by The Dream Bus from non-profit 8 Billion Dreams, reinforcing the community’s commitment to cleaner, healthier beaches.
Sunset Celebration at Surf Lodge
As the day turned to night, guests gathered at Surf Lodge for a sunset fundraiser, raising awareness and vital funds for Project Zero’s Coral Collective, a global campaign dedicated to restoring coral reefs. The evening featured live performances by Alexandra Richards, Malice K, Jordan Emanuel, and Grace Bowers, creating an unforgettable soundtrack to the Montauk sunset.
Art for the Ocean
A curated art auction showcased celebrated artists including James Goldcrown, Jake Clark, and Bradley Theodore. With 100% of proceeds going directly to coral reef restoration, the auction continues online, giving supporters worldwide an opportunity to contribute to ocean conservation.
Powered by Community
This year’s event was generously supported by Holiday Vodka, Astral Tequila, Wölffer Estate Vineyard, and Fisher’s Island Lemonade, whose partnership helped amplify Project Zero’s mission.
