Southampton Hospital Foundation to Host 3rd Annual Summer of Wellness on July 19th

This July, the Southampton Hospital Foundation will host its 3rd Annual Summer of Wellness on Saturday, July 19 at Southampton Youth Services (SYS) bringing together the East End community for a morning of movement, mindfulness, and connection, all in support of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.

From 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., guests will take part in dynamic fitness and wellness sessions led by top instructors, including Mat Pilates, All Levels Hatha Yoga, DanceBody’s Sculpt, Barnyard Fitness’ Strong, and the beloved Elements Barre Fitness class, hosted by Caitlin Diebold O’Connell. “Hosting it in a community-centered space underscores what the day is really about—coming together to support wellness and healthcare close to home,” says O’Connell.

New this year: the inaugural Pickleball Tournament, co-hosted by Elizabeth Bowden and Kingsley Crawford, and sponsored by Nest Seekers International and LSC Design, Ltd. “It’s a great way to bring people together around movement and community while supporting an important cause,” says Bowden. Crawford adds, “Pickleball gives people of all skill levels a chance to connect, stay active, and support wellness in our community.”

Attendees will enjoy complimentary t-shirts, Scott’s Protein Balls, LMNT electrolytes, and Once Upon a Coconut water. At 9:30 a.m., the Food as Medicine class, presented by Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Wellness Institute’s Paula Montagna and Alex Coacci, will explore the benefits of seasonal eating and include a fresh summer salad demo.

Other featured sessions will include:

• Acupressure & Massage Therapy by local wellness experts

• Spin with Analisa Johnson

• DanceBody with Courtney Mariani

• Taste the Season culinary education

• Barre + Sculpt with Andrea Fornarola

• Strong Circuit with Brooke Burnside of Barnyard Fitness

Proceeds from the event will benefit Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, helping to expand access to care and enhance clinical programs on the East End.
