This summer, compassion took center stage in Bridgehampton as the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation hosted its Sweet 16th Unconditional Love Gala an annual highlight on the Hamptons social calendar. Held at a private estate on Ocean Road, the glamorous evening gathered animal lovers, philanthropists, and celebrities in celebration of animal welfare, advocacy, and the shelter’s ongoing mission to provide care and forever homes for homeless pets.
Hosted by comedic duo Hannah Berner and Des Bishop, the gala honored Alison Eastwood acclaimed actress, director, and founder of the Eastwood Ranch Foundation Animal Rescue as the 2024 SASF Animal Welfare Honoree. The Compassion to Action Award was presented to Jayni and Chevy Chase by none other than supermodel and activist Christie Brinkley, recognizing the couple’s dedication to animal advocacy and meaningful philanthropic work.
With the shelter preparing for an extensive fall renovation and facility upgrade, this year’s gala held even deeper importance. Guests enjoyed a lively performance by Soul System Orchestras, featuring Skid Row’s Rob Affuso on drums, while bidding on high-end auction items including luxury trips, exclusive experiences, and standout pieces like a “Bruce Wayne” Rolex GMT Master II wristwatch.
The evening brought together a who’s who of Hamptons society and celebrity guests. Notables in attendance included Beth Stern, Luann de Lesseps, Alexa Ray Joel, Jean Shafiroff, Jill Rapaport, Bo Dietl, Dr. Jennifer Jablow, Michael Riemerschmid, Jordan Lippner, Cydney Chase, Chris Teakle, and more.
As SASF’s largest fundraiser of the year, proceeds from the gala will directly support the shelter’s lifesaving work: rehabilitation, care, and the placement of animals into loving homes. In a season filled with stylish soirées, the Unconditional Love Gala remains one of the most heartfelt and unforgettable
